Pas de couture cette semaine, je suis en vacances dans le sud de la France, loin de ma machine à coudre et de mes coupons de tissu. Pour patienter, un extrait de mon blogroll photo.

Comme beaucoup d’autres sur la blogosphère francophone, j’aime les photos de Barbara Berrada. J’adore aussi 44 times two, blog photo éphémère d’Alison (Australie) et Charlotte (Nouvelle Zelande) qui, deux fois par semaine pendant 44 semaines publient ensemble leurs clichés. On y trouve des perles absolues : c’est mon coup de coeur du mois. Alison, l’une des deux photographes, a aussi un blog plus plus orienté couture, répondant au doux nom de “6 and a half stitches”.

La couture et la photo ne sont peut être pas si éloignées qu’on pourrait le croire : porter un regard sur les choses, les façonner et laisser filtrer sa personnalité…

No sewing this week: i’m on holidays in the south of France, away from my sewing machine and fabric.  Instead, a extract from my phtography blogroll.

Like many others in the french blogosphere i like Barbara Berrada’s pictures. I also love 44 times two, an ephemeral picture blog by Alison (Australia) and Charlotte (New Zeland) who jointly publish their pictures twice a week during 44 weeks. There are some absolutly beautiful shots: it’s my discovery of the month. Alison, one of the two photographers, also has a vey nice sewing blog called “6 and a half stitches“.

Sewing and taking pictures might not be so different after all: a way of looking at things, turning them into something else, and giving out a bit of who you are – deep inside.
